Fidèle Larose started his business on the land he had inherited from his father, his grandfather's land.

On that particular March 4th, 1959

Fidèle was very nervous about his first animal auction. As a matter of fact, he only had $200.00 in initial outlay and was hoping to check out before the other merchants. Everything went well and what he didn't know at that moment was that his little business would become a huge success.

In the beginning, he hires an auctioneer, but very soon, he learns the job and becomes an auctioneer himself. The boys started working with their father at a very young age. With time, more salesmen join the auction crew. The business was growing and Rosina, Fidèle's wife, taught it would be a good idea to start a little restaurant where they would sell sandwiches, hot-dogs and hamburgers; after all, these people would get hungry one day! The girls then started to help their mother in the restaurant and everybody was happy to see that their business was a success.

In the 70's

the market is taking expansion so much that in 1980, we decided to build a first building in which all the salesmen will be located and that way, open the market all year round. Then, every two years, the market would progress so much, that we would build a new building to have a grand total of five buildings for the flea market.

In 1983

Fidèle and Rosina Larose pass on the torch to their children Michel, Jean and Tony, who will take care of the flea market, and Rachel, Suzanne and Linda who will be in charge of the restaurant.

In 1992

we built the shopping center, and created a total of 70,000 square feet of building if you include all the buildings; not to forget our 175 outdoor merchants in the summer.

In 1994

the three brothers decide to expand the business and acquire another flea market in the Laurentides, The Lesage Market. Prior to their acquisition, this market was only open during the summer, but thanks to the new 33,000 square feet building, the Lesage Market is now open all year round. The building can shelter 70 merchants and welcome more than 300 outdoor merchants during the summer. Lesage Market is open every Saturdays and Sundays, all year round.

In 1998

to meet the needs of clients, we've decided to open a food market (TRADITION), which requires a huge investment. This decision was very beneficial for everyone.

In 1999

we start a new business, A.T.M. Supplies inc. With our experience, we noticed the growing demand for those machines, and we were the first in Québec to hold private A.T.M. machines. At first, it was only a service we wanted to offer to our clients, but soon, we realized that many businesses were seeking our A.T.M. machines. We now have 11 A.T.M. machines and would like to double that number in the next year.

In 2000

we decide to move building number 4 and rearrange building number 3 (fruits & vegetables) because we weren't happy of the busyness the building had in the last few years. The merchants were asking to be relocated in building 1 or 2, but they were full. By moving building number 4 and making it communicant with the other buildings, the busyness was now consistent in all buildings. At the same time, we created more parking spaces and cleared up the front of the shopping center and gave us more visibility.

Since these changes all our buildings are full.
